Book i love

Good to get back to my blog even this may be just a short one! How time flies and we are in 2010 and even faster, we are in February now. Alhamdullilah.

I have picked up a book recently, actually to finish reading it... "Bercinta Sampai Ke Syurga" by Hj Hasrizal Abdul Jamil. A friend who is also the author's brother had offered me to read it at first hand when the book was launched. I felt honoured. Thank you Munir & Yana. But only now that i have the time to finish it.

I started with the author's blog at saifulislam.com which i still browse and it is very interesting and useful. The Book, is One GOOD BOOK. I love it, not because it is a love story or melodrama but because it is a book which make one realized about life. The best part is, it is meant for all ages. I suggest teenagers should also read it, as they are taking new steps in their life. Youngsters in this century are getting at the fast lane. You know what i meant.

It is written in such a nice way and very easy to digest. But that is not what it is all about. It is about how much you realize - kesedaran. One should read it and you will be surprised what you can learn. They are things said in the book which will wake one up and made an adult to search at themselves.

To me this book is not only about bringing up a family. It made me see what life is all about and how you justify your life. Hold to your religion, it is important.

Alas, this is not the author first book. He wrote "Aku terima Nikahnya".. which i have not read but i had a peep of it at MPH and it is obviously not a bad one.

I am finishing the book today and would like to grab "Aku terima Nikahnya" next. And see what i can gather from there. I should have read this one first and perhaps it could make me understand better with the one i am finishing.

Unfortunately my adult children just stared at the book.... am sure they would grab it if it is a novel. Well perhaps too 'heavy' for them with the life they are going through or may be they knew the book and just avoiding the facts....
I shall end up here to go back to my chores. This year i managed to lesson my chores. At least i get to do my gardening but still trying to pick up on my art once again. It is the mood. Ya the mood.
I love mondays when it is a public holiday! Like today! Yezz!

Michael Jackson

Nobody Did It Better!

It's going to be a month to the day. And it is hard to explain this feeling that a part of me has gone missing and people around the globe are still mourning for this ONE special person! MICHAEL JACKSON.

When i first heard in the radio that Michael had died, i was speechless and lost. I cried. I thought i was being emotional or crazy to have these feelings as i dont even know Michael Jackson in person. I had expressed this to a friend and i realized she too has the same feeling. It is good to get to talk to someone who understand and love Michael Jackson. Tears came down our cheeks everytime words are spoken about him. I could imagine how his children and family are going through and trying so hard to get over of his passing...

He has the kindest soul ... he loved and cared children. More, to those less fortunates. He had given lots and lots of charities ... and had help so many in many ways. You could see and feel how much he had cared and he meant it with all his heart. See his kisses to his fans and said he loved them each time he ends his songs in concerts. See how he had stared to his fans in the crowds. He cared. Look at his shy, soft smile... and you can see such a lonely person in him. Alas! music was his life and the stage was his home.

It's a pity how he had been humilated. I hope those people would realized by now that the truth are out. Many words had been thrown to him, from his skin color to wrongfully accused for what he had not done. And yet he stayed so cool.

Michael Jackson is the most successful and influential singer. He is the most electrifying performer we ever seen. His concerts were all packed with faithful fans. His music changed the world. He had touched us in many ways through his songs. Watch - 'Michael Jackson Music Awards 1996 - the earth song' and look at him sing and try to feel the environment. Next are his 'Heal the World', 'You are not alone', 'Man in the Mirror' and 'Black or White' songs. Don't just listen but take a look at these videos. Feel it.

Weeks has passed since his passing and across the globe people are still outpouring of grief. Well, tears are just spontaneous streaming out down our cheeks.

It is sad, he had gone too soon. Yes indeed. He was a genius.

Michael Jackson had a pure heart, sincere and vulnerable. He was god gift to us.
May God bless his soul. Amin.

johan our lover

This is Johan, our love of our lives at home. First brought to our home April 27th in 2005, giving him shelter and abundance of love. He was very skinny and frightened. We brought him to our regular vet to have a thorough check up and happy that he was okay except very hungry.

Evensince he was at home, he was the attention of our love besides our two tortoises which have since been with us for many years. Johan was doing great after two weeks. And of course he was drastically pampered!

The best part is, he understood english and bahasa which made us so easy to 'talk' to him. Obviously very pampered he got not only our attention but you named it, from toys to just anything he loves to play, bite, eat and what nots. Very spoiled alrite.

I read lots of books to understand him better. I was even more worried when i knew that rabbits bites just whatever obstructs them like wires, rattan chair, even wooden stuffs.

There are times when i thought i would come home one day and find my home blown! Alas, thanked god, that didnt happen. Johan bite all our wires around the house and we insulated the wires for good. After that we bought more toys for him to chew and bite.
It was great coming home and whjen he greated us with his hopping and flapping of his ears. He even hopped and made one or two circle around me. And such charmed he had and cheeky when i carried him to give him a BIG hug of the day.
I am always looking forward to go home and hug him every evening. He just knew you will be at the door and welcoming us home. There are times we would both take a nap together and watched tv. He was a great companion so to say.
Johan died May 3rd, 2009. He must have fallen sick but i had not noticed it. I regretted for not noticing it. I guess owner and pet do have a bonding and understanding. Just hours before he died, he wanted to be held and i carried him as usual around the house. He acted kind of odd and i looked at him and sensed that something had gone wrong. He was not his usual self. Obviously it was too late to run to the vet. I had been with him until the end. My husband and i burried him under a tree besides a surau.
He will always be in our mind. Forever.
Everyday i remembers Johan. Not a day without missing him.

my idol

My super idol, Tuan Hj M Rajoli has been watched by millions on television for his superb acting in just any characters whom he had done very well.
Last friday my friends and i had gone to visit Tuan Hj who had stayed next to our apartment. It was great to meet him, he gave us a big smile and such warmth we felt.
I am supposed to publish this post earlier than the one i did recently but i was touch with such emotion that i have to put it aside until i am ready.
As millions know that Tuan Hj M Rajoli has had an operation and is recovering at home. He is indeed responding well to our questions when asked and answered his wife spontaniously.
When we arrived he was about to have dinner and yes he has a big appetite. His menu for dinner was crab and ayam kampung masak kicap. His wife, Shima fed him so lovingly. Such a responsible family he has. One would feel good to see your idol is really being taken care of.
We were told that a close friend of Tuan Hj has volunteered to 'urut' his feet. A reflexlogy i should say. The family said he had improved and indeed i can see that he can pronouns better.
Our prayers is for him to recover well and get up on his feet again and be in the big screen. I am sure the day will come real soon.
As in this picture, he gave us a real BIG smile when i snap his foto.
He could even lifted up his right and left hand when asked. Seemed a good recovery and better we hope as days goes by.
We couldn't stop laughing when we recalled a few of his movies which he had acted. And we hope to have him back in the screen.
We hope he gets better in a flash and my prayers for him to recover super fast. Amin.

frens

By chance that i and my two friends went out to do grocery shopping yesterday but end up at a song box. One would wonder what is a song box? To me, those days when i was younger, song box is a music machine where you insert a coin and you can enjoy the songs you picked. This song box i meant is a karaoke place. Suit its name and it is a room accommodating with all the karaoke accessories. Really cool. It comes with many rooms to accommodate how many friends you bring. I am sure my children would have been these places it is just that i am behind time. Hehee.

We were joyfully walking and exploring Jaya Jusco AU2 when we came across this particular new shop and only to find out that it is a karaoke place. Our friend Zek was over excited as she loves karaokeing. The girls whom had been explaining to us the new place were really nice and before you know it, Zek had sholved all of us in to book a room. For rm15 per person you get 1 food, 1 drink and sing for 2 hours. We booked a room and ordered our foods and drinks and picked our songs. Zek was all excited all the way until the end. heheee.

I was thinking, if she had changed her outfit and sang a rocky song, she could ROCK!. Fantastically she can sing. Obviously she loves singing.

Not that we could become singers but i just felt karaokeing is also part of releasing your stress. Zek and Selmah had urged me to sing ... i have not sang for ages and of course i am very shy as their voices are far much better pitching then mine.

After a while, with one laughed after another i joined them. Aiman, Selmah's son can sing too. Ooh how wonderful. There were some songs i couldnt follow but i salute them, they are fantastically great to know all the the lyrics so well.

We laughed each time we missed the lyrics or went out of tune.... but we had fun.

We sang half the song and keep skipping to the next one as time was almost to the end. It was funny and we promised to come back to do another new tracks of the songs.

We can't extend anyway as we had not done our grocery shopping. I am sure Zek will love to come back and belting out her favorite dangduts.

We assured Zek, that we would come back end of the month and bring more friends this time to sing along with.

Obviously they will be our spouses and it will be outrages. I could imagine..

We left song box to do our groceries. Saying goodbyes to the staffs and we chatterly and laughing at each other with the songs we had karaoked. Zek looked satisfied.

I must say it is not a bad idea to release your stress and am sure it will be good for the karaoke fanatics to frequent song box.

hobby

I have been with this hobby of mine doing fabric paintings since last year but recently has abrubtly left unattended as i have been busy at the office. I am back. I sold a few last year and i felt good. Some pocket money and it helps.

I have these unframe ones which i had done earlier and left aside due to workload and i have put my hand on recently and hope to get them framed this weekend. Once framed, then i can sell them.
Well, have to have the mood to paint, no doubt it is time consuming, the results is tremendously great. It is interesting and i felt very good with the results. I love the birds, well there are requests for flowers and all sorts. Depending on the situation and i try my very best to have a mix of all.

It will be good if the day is sunny, as i can finished at least 2 frames. First, i got the mood to paint, second the weather which help to make the paint dry faster.

Lovely!

Now that everyone are experiencing the recessions and so am I. I told myself to get on with my hobby and sell to get an extra income.

I am sure i can make it.

These tea pots below are my favorite. And the easiest to paint. Just mix and match.

Some of these had been sold but frens need a few more of the same ones to give away for x'mas and other gifts. Sounds great and I do paint some for special gift to frens too. In fact, it do a great gifts.
My husband loves these lovely flowers below. It can come in 3s left, middle and right. These are the second sets.
I find it abit old fashion but then again it is soothing.

Birds are just a 'go' with me. They comes in unique and interesting shapes. Cute should i say.

Below are the ones i did for my home. Birds of course!
Very nice when they are framed. Indeed they are.
I am looking forward to do full time. Perhaps when I retire.
That's just round the corner. hehehe.

The BIG Day

It was a very BIG Day alrite. Just no ordinary hand shake .. oh yes it is an akad nikah.

My husband and i were very happy for Mak Cak and Pak Cak as their lovely daughter is getting married. Inaz & Hendra akad nikah was on March 19th and the bersanding was on Saturday, March 21st.

It was raining heavily when the imam or tok kadhi as he is called, arrived. He arrived in time inspite the very heavy rain and to the relief of the couples and everyone who have been waiting at the residence. All faces smiled and glowed as the tok kadhi took his placing to sit and eyes are all focused at the groom.

It went through successfully of cos, eventhough Hendra has to lafaz twice. First was because he utterly mentioned Inaz's sirname with a Mohamad at the front. Second was clear and sound and everyone was relieved. Ring into her finger and they are husband and wife!

I admired the efforts given by the Menara Chenderawasih AJKs who have helped and supported Mak Cak & Pak Cak's family all the way to the Wedding Day. The miracle of the families on the 1st floor of this Menara Chenderawasih is another thing. They are always there for you with warmth hearts and open arms to help each and everyone resides at the Menara. My husband is one of the AJKs and we have always given the help whenever needed. All of us have been busy since the past two weeks helping even the smallest thing to make the BIG day event right.

Ani our Pengerusi. And part of the angels who had helped during the nikah.

Beautiful as it should be and so was everything else.. food was good, guests chatting and congratulating the couples one after another, the rain stop finally and i am sure there were rainbows...

We had a day break - friday was free and we make preparation for the bersanding which took place at a dewan in setiawangsa. Saturday, March 21st. Ani, Kak Pah, Selmah, Zek, Iena, Memey, Kak Nap, Kak Hawa and myself stayed tuned all night till 4am the next morning to help out with the last minute preparations. It was good to help indeed.

A beautiful day, March 21st. It didnt rain most importantly. All AJKs were from the begining being assigned with their individual jobs to do for the BIG day. My husband and i are assigned as Penyambut Tetamu at the front door of the dewan. The parents of the pengantin were also at the door to receive guests.

All smile.

The theme was pink silvery. All were beautiful.
We were happy when all the guests kept coming non stop. It was a good sign and Mak Cak & Pak Cak were all smile.

And we both knew, nothing can go wrong now.

ALL SMILES...........

Beautiful combinations of colors. Very vibrant and pretty! It made the day.

To Inaz & Hendra, Congrats! and we hope you have a very bright future ahead. Full of love, live happy and lots and lots of kids. May all your wishes come true!

To Mak Cak & Pak Cak, the best has yet to come and yes, it will definitely comes abundantly.
